與攝影師對話
「與攝影師對話」的專題是腦海中計畫很久的想法。在大方向上，與一般人物採訪很類似；我總是好奇受訪人背後的故事與生活經驗。不過當受訪者是攝影師時，更加令我想瞭解的，就是他們專注在某些拍攝主題上的原因、靈感來源、使用器材喜好，以及在這些讓我們都讚嘆不已的畫面背後或許有些更加精彩的故事。
第一個浮上腦海的攝影師就是美味拍手Yummy Yummy Photography。幾個月前在社群上注意到美味拍手的照片，她的畫面總是以不同風格與手法來拍攝，不過乾淨俐落、品味優雅是她一致的表現。
採訪這天我們約在All Day Roasting Company，是拍手喜歡的咖啡館之一。對咖啡館裡的咖啡，尤其是卡布其諾，我們有著相同的執著；奶泡除了必須綿密之外，也必須與咖啡以絕對的比例混和才是最優值的。
我提早到，不過拍手已經在咖啡館門口前了。店家十一點營業，我們先到隔壁的便利商店等。兩人才坐下話匣子已經打開。
Talk to the photographer
The topic "Interview Photographers" was an idea that had been planned for a long time in my mind. In the general interviews, I always curious about the stories and life experiences behind the interviewees. But when the respondents are photographers, what I want to know more is that the reason they focus on particular subjects, the source of inspiration, the preference for the equipment, and perhaps some exciting stories behind their images that we all admire.
The first photographer to come to my mind was Stella, the owner of Yummy Yummy Photography. A few months ago, I noticed her photos on social media. Her pictures always show different styles and shooting techniques, but the cleanliness and elegant atmosphere are her regular performance.
On the day of the interview, we were at the All Day Roasting Company, which is one of her favorite cafes in Taipei. For the coffee in the cafes, especially the cappuccino, we have the same requirements. In addition to being dense, the milk foam must be mixed with the coffee in perfect proportion, which is the best.
I arrived early, but she was waiting in front of the cafe. The store is open at eleven o'clock; so that we first went to the 7-11 next door. We knew each other only for a few minutes; it seemed that we have many similar thoughts to share.
灰姑娘的成長環境讓個性更樂觀活潑
拍手的影像總是優雅、低調，不過如果你閱讀照片的說明文字，字裡行間往往幽默、充滿活力，甚至與粉絲間的互動也總是充滿（視覺上的）笑聲，非常活潑。拍手私底下也是同樣的個性嗎，還是其實與影像有著同樣的調性，是比較沈靜的呢？
「我小的時候就長的很高，阿媽也很會養，整個人看起來高高壯壯的。其實那時候常遭受異樣的眼光，很怕其他人不喜歡自己。所以從很小的時候就學著觀察人群，培養幽默感，希望成為一個帶來歡樂的人，至少不會被排擠。」
拍手還在牙牙學語的時候父母離異，對母親完全沒有印象的她跟著阿媽在嘉義生活，一直到上小學前，才搬到台北與父親的新家庭同居。拍手事後回想，與後母在同一個屋簷下的生活其實與灰姑娘無異。說回這段往事時，她並沒有顯露誇張的神情或是語氣，也不見哀愁。「長大後再回想，其實可以理解她（後母）的心情，給我這樣的生活也算合情合理；畢竟我不是她的親身小孩。」
真正讓拍手放寬心、不計較的，就是扶養她的阿媽。「阿媽以前都會跟我說：隨便，沒關係，不要跟別人計較。」因為阿媽溫暖的心胸才培養出拍手正面樂觀的態度。這樣的個性讓拍手的手機攝影課程總是充滿歡樂。最讓學生們津津樂道的，不只是豐富的課程內容，還有美味拍手的個人魅力。
The background of growth makes her personality optimistic and livelier.
Stella’s images are always elegant and subtle, but if you read the captions of the photos, her texts are often humorous, full of energy. Even the communication with the fans is always full of (visual) laugh, very energetic. Does she have the same lively personality in private? Or is she actually calmer?
"I was tall when I was a child. My grandmother knew how to satisfy me and offered me tasty food. I looked strong and big. I often suffered discrimination. I was afraid that others did not like me. So, from a very young age, I learned to observe the crowd, cultivate a sense of humor, and hoped to be a person who can bring joy." Stella recalls.
When Stella was a little child, her parents divorced. She had no impression of her mother. She lived in Chiayi with her grandmother and moved to Taipei to live with her father's new family when she was about six. Living with her stepmother, she recalls that it was no different from Cinderella. When she talked about this past, she did not exaggerate her expression or tone, nor did she express her condolences. "After growing up, I can understand the mood of her (the stepmother) and let me have the days. After all, I am not her child."
Stella's grandmother made her felt relieved. "My grandma told me: Anyway, it doesn't matter, don't care about others." Her grandma's warm heart has cultivated Stella positive. This personality makes her photography workshops always full of joy. It is not only the content of the program but also her charm that makes the students satisfied.
每個階段的人生都是讓自己更好的養分
因為小時候的生長環境使然，讓拍手一直到學生時期結束都是團體中的開心果。出了社會，因緣際會之故，她前後從事不同的工作。曾經是畢業旅行團領隊的她，在面對一群年輕學生時必須適時炒熱氣氛、帶動團體。在專櫃上班當美容銷售員時，積極地考取美容執照，以更專業的知識服務，也在那段時期累積對美容美儀的品味。後來有長達十年的時間擔任電話行銷員，讓她學習到良好的溝通邏輯與說話的技巧。在轉為攝影教學的自由工作者之前，以理財專員的身份替客戶服務的日子中，讓拍手瞭解人情世故與生命無常，需要好好把握每個當下的道理。
並不是每個階段的人生都是順遂美好的。常常有人好奇，為什麼拍手總是能量滿滿、為什麼拍手說話很有吸引力、為什麼她的生活看來如此美麗讓人想全盤複製？因為在過去的生命中，不管是負面的挫折或是不理想的遭遇，拍手總是甘之如飴。她相信這些經歷都可以化為最好的養分，讓她蛻變為一個更好的自己。
因為這些經歷，讓拍手的照片總是充滿了生命力，不管是極簡的擺拍或是美味豐盛的早餐，總是讓觀賞影像的人富有同感、產生共鳴。因為，影像擁有情感，可以傳遞拍攝者累積的生活能量。
Each step in life can be a useful nutrient for better growth.
Because of her growing background, Stella had always been a barrel of laughs in the group during her student years. After graduating from school, she was engaged in different jobs. She used to be the guide for the graduation tour groups. Facing groups of young students, she must promote the atmosphere at the right time. When working as a beauty salesman in the department store, she actively took a beauty license and made the service more professional. During that period, she also accumulated the cultivation of beauty taste. Later, Stella worked as a telemarketer for ten years and learned good communication logic and speaking skills. Before switching to a freelancer in photography teaching, she worked as a financial manager. This job made her understand the impermanence of life. We all need to cherish every day.
Not every moment of life is beautiful. Many people are curious as to why Stella is always full of energy, why she is attractive, why her life is so wonderful, and people want to copy it all? Whether it is frustration or unsatisfactory encounter, Stella is always ready to take. She believes that these experiences can be turned into best nutrients and transforming her life into a better one.
Because of these experiences, Stella's photos are always full of vitality. Whether it is a minimalist shot or a delicious breakfast picture, people who watch the images always feel the same and resonate. Her images have emotions; they can convey the accumulation of the photographer's life spirit.
夫妻相處之道
在美味拍手Yummy Yummy Photography的社群上，除了吸引目光的影像之外，拍手的另一半，拍公也同樣佔有舉足輕重的地位。拍手的老公所以叫做拍公，後來大家也這麼親切地稱呼他。拍公皮膚黝黑、大多時候留著偏長的流浪型（自然捲）髮型、蓄鬍，很多時候都是拍手鏡頭下的模特兒。當相機交到拍公手上時，他也為拍手捕捉讓人欣賞的畫面。
金牛座的拍手與處女座的拍公不只擁有相同的興趣喜好，就連生活步調與品味也因為多年相處而越來越有默契。兩人在社群上互動的模式與私生活中相處時差異不大，也是你一言我一語，很是熱鬧。不過回到生活中，拍公面對外界或是不熟悉的人時，所表露的個性就很內斂，屬於觀察者的角色。所以對外時，拍手很自然地成為兩人發聲的代表。「不過拍公常常提醒我工作上忽略的細節，有點像是精神導師。不久以前我們兩人做過人格特質測驗，我是I型，喜歡分享；而拍公是C型，適合當品管者。如果同時給我們兩人一個相同的物品，我會說出十項優點，他則會指出十個缺點，並且加以討論改善的可能性。」
關於工作上的發想，拍手總是樂觀地往好方面想，相信吸引力法則，而拍公總是未雨綢繆，瞻前顧後。兩人之間互補的個性，讓拍手從以前的工作到轉職為攝影教學的自由工作者，都讓事情更完善地執行。
Couple life
Stella's husband plays an important role in her career. Her husband has dark skin and long hair, mostly with a beard. He is often a model in her pictures. Of course, when he holds the camera, he also captures beautiful images for Stella.
Her constellation is Taurus, and her husband is Virgo. Both have the same interest preferences, and the taste of life has become more and more similar because of getting along for many years. The style of interaction between the two on the community is not much different from in private life; it is very lively. However, in reality, when her husband faces unfamiliar people, the personality becomes quiet. Therefore, Stella is often the spokesperson of the two.
"My husband often reminds me of the details I neglect at work. He is a bit like my mentor. Not long ago, we both did a personality feature test. I am the type I, like to share; and he is the type C, suitable for quality control. If we are given two identical items at the same time, I will say ten advantages; he will point out ten shortcomings and discuss the possibility of improvement." Stella describes.
Regarding the work planning, Stella is always optimistic and believes in the truth of attraction; and her husband always takes precautions and looks forward to it. The complementarity of them, from her previous jobs to the freelancer position that teaching photography, makes things more perfect.
成為自由工作者、開班授課的契機
在社群媒體上公開自己的照片之前，拍手已經持續性拍照很長一段時間，尤其專注在自己準備的早餐上。雖然沒有專業攝影相關背景，她卻以最便利的手機拍出讓每個人都讚賞的影像。那時候臉書上有個熱門的社團，拍手加入後上傳了一張暗黑氛圍的早餐照片。這張有別於其他社團內色彩繽紛的圖像，馬上獲得許多人的關注與詢問。
於是在2016年四月，與拍公討論之後決定成立「美味拍手Yummy Yummy Photography」粉絲頁面，除了方便與關注者互動，也有個平台可以分享平時拍攝的照片。拍手的照片情境以及畫面氛圍與歐美國家美食拍攝手法有著異曲同工之妙，很快地在美食攝影圈引起許多人討論。同年六月，拍手便接獲邀請開設手機美食攝影課程。三個月後，同年九月，拍手在無法專心全職工作與準備攝影課程的情況下，毅然辭去理財專員的職位，正式成為自由工作者。
拍公不擔心嗎？「他當然擔心，希望我先觀察看看，不急著辭掉工作。不過理財專員那份工作無法滿足我對工作的慾望，可是在攝影課程中教學的互動讓我感到開心，很有成就感。可以把自己喜歡的事物與別人分享，很快樂。」在很多人的勸退聲中，拍手決定專職於攝影教學。
2016年正是手機攝影起步的草創期，拍手規劃的攝影班可以說是市場上的先鋒，學生上課後的反應也很好，每次開設的課程都是以極度「秒殺」的速度完結，也證明了拍手當初的決定不是衝動。
The opportunity to be a freelancer
She has been taking photos for a long time before she shared her first pictures on social media. She is especially focused on the breakfast she prepares. Although she does not have the background of professional photography, she uses the most convenient mobile phone to shoot images that everyone enjoys. At that time, there was a popular group on Facebook. She uploaded a photo of her breakfast in a dark atmosphere. It was different from other colorful images, so she immediately got a lot of attention and inquiry.
In April 2016, after discussing with her husband, Stella decided to set up the "Yummy Yummy Photography" fan page. Not only for facilitating communication with followers, but she also has a platform to share photos. The atmosphere of Stella's pictures which is unique in Taiwan is similar to those European food photographers. Soon, her photos have caused many people to discuss. In June 2016, Stella was invited to offer mobile food photography workshops. Three months later, in September, she quitted her previous job resolutely and become a freelancer when she was unable to concentrate on full-time work and preparing for photography teaching.
Did not your husband worry about you? "He certainly was worried. He wanted me to think about it first and do not rush to quit the job. "The work as a financial manager could not satisfy my desire for work, but the interaction in photography teaching makes me feel happy and fulfilled. When I can share what I like with others, I am thrilled." In the persuasion of everyone, she decided to concentrate on photography.
2016 was the beginning of mobile photography in Taiwan. Stella's workshop was a pioneer in the market. The response from the students is also good. Until now, her every workshop is filled in in a short time, which proves that her decision to be a freelancer was not impulsive.
如何讓自己「從經驗學習」的累積心得成為精實的授課內容
在剛開始的幾堂課，拍手特別希望可以瞭解報名學生想學習的目標，再從過去那些年的經驗中抽絲剝繭、去蕪存菁把精要的心得與大家分享。她從家裡以行李箱把大量的擺拍道具搬到課堂中，以便教導如何利用生活中的道具來構圖，拍出有意境的畫面。透過互動、問答的方式來教學，可以更精準地瞭解學生的需求。
同時，她透過上課學生的回應，看出教學成效，作為下一次改善課程內容的準則與方向。這些從無到有的示範與解說，都是拍手自己摸索來的；不過拍公在參與幾次課程之後，也給了拍手許多精闢的建議。
「剛開始的幾堂課，我希望以淺顯易懂的方式來授課，讓學生回到家之後也可用一樣的手法拍出類似的照片。拍公卻認為我應該教導更專業的內容。所以我開始加入構圖的手法與顏色搭配的概念，讓課程更有深度。」
以現在社群上越來越流行，很多人跟著拍的俯拍手法來說，基本上就是以平面設計的思維來構圖。當手機的拍攝角度與桌面平行時，桌上的杯盤、飲食都會變成幾何圖樣，構圖排得好，就是一張好看也有趣的平面設計。慢慢地，以更深入的角度來充實課程內容。拍手不只是一位會拍的攝影師，同時也是位樂於分享的講師。
How to make one's own experience of "learning from practicing" become the refined workshop content.
At the beginning of a few workshops, Stella especially wanted to know the goals that the students want to learn. So that, she could share the tips that she has explored in the past. She carries a lot of props from home to the classroom with a suitcase to teach how to use the accessories to compose beautiful pictures. Teaching through interactive, question-and-answer ways can exactly understand the needs of students.
At the same time, Stella can see the effectiveness of teaching through the response of the students as a guideline for improving the following courses. Her presentations and explanations are accumulated from the experiences. However, after participating in several workshops, her husband also gave her many pertinent suggestions.
"At the beginning, I hoped to teach in a way that is easy to understand and follow, so that students could take similar pictures by themselves after the workshop. My husband suggested that I should teach more professional content. So, I start to combine the skills of composition, the concept of color matching, and improve the sense of the program."
Flatlay is now popular in social media, and many people follow the way to shoot photos. Basically, the idea of a flatlay picture is similar to graphic design. When the angle of the mobile phone is parallel to the desktop, the tableware and food on the table will become geometric patterns. A well-arranged composition flatlay design will be a beautiful and interesting picture. Slowly, Stella enriches the workshop content with a deeper viewpoint. She is not only a photographer who shoots gorgeous photos but also a teacher who is willing to share.
如何拍出具有故事性氛圍的影像
上課的學生最常發問的就是「如何拍出一張好看的照片呢？」。不過拍手認為，比起尋求答案，拍攝者更應該問自己：「我想對觀賞照片的人說一個什麼樣的故事呢？」有故事，才能建構畫面。「什麼人、在什麼地方、做什麼事」一直都是拍手在課堂上不變的基本概念。只要把這個邏輯套入影像中，幾乎人人都可以拍出有故事性氛圍的照片。
拍照前必須先思考拍這張照片的目的。比如說，希望拍攝一張「享受一頓悠閒早餐」的照片，可以先設定：「誰」吃早餐、「在哪裡吃」、「吃什麼」這樣的故事背景。再利用手邊的配件讓觀賞者感受你想傳達的那份氛圍，這樣一來就容易產生共鳴。
同時以「減法思考」來取代即興發揮。早期拍手鼓勵上課學生大膽嘗試，卻發現拍攝成果不盡理想，畫面中出現許多不相關、只是為了擺設而加入的道具，並不符合真正的拍攝主題。於是提出「拍照前多思考」的提醒，傳遞出更精準的拍攝準則。
How to make images that have a charming atmosphere
In class, the most common question that students ask is: "How can I make a beautiful photo?" However, Stella believes that everyone who takes photos should ask themselves than seeking answers: "What kind of story do I want to say to the people who view the pictures?" Stories first and then to compose an image. "Who, where, what?" is always her central concept. Follow this logic; almost everyone can take photos with a charming atmosphere.
You must first think about the purpose of taking this photo before taking a picture. For example, when you want to take a photo of "Enjoy a leisurely breakfast," you can first set the background of the story, "Who" eats breakfast, "Where to eat", and "What to eat." Then use the available accessories to let viewers feel the atmosphere you want to convey.
At the same time, Stella replaces the impromptu creation with the principle of "subtraction" in the course. In the early days, she encouraged the students to try and play boldly but found that the shooting results were not as satisfying as she expected. There were many unrelated props in the pictures that were added only for decoration. So, Stella now sets a reminder of "thinking before taking pictures" and "subtracting" to convey a precise principle.
生活美學與拍攝技巧的養成
拍手拍公夫妻兩人很愛看電影，2010年兩人開始交往後就大量地看電影。台北電影節、金馬影展、奇幻電影節等，全不錯過。尤其影展期間每天衝電影場次，累積下來一年可以看上一百多部電影。很有趣的是，夫妻兩人看電影時，特別注意電影情節裡的空間佈置與設計巧思。「尤其是在歐洲或是北歐的藝術電影中，畫面很唯美，空間中的細節也很精彩呢。」拍手興奮地說著。從電影中所累積的美學養分對兩人後來在挑選家具、佈置居家時有很大的潛移默化的影響。
夫妻兩人也喜歡旅遊。一次到荷蘭旅行時，看到當地人的生活方式與空間佈置巧思，以及室內燈光照明的運用，讓她們大為驚喜。原來過去只在電影中看到的畫面，其實在某些城市、國家是再也生活化不過的事了。這讓拍手與拍公慢慢累積出自己的品味，把居住的空間經營成理想的模樣。「照片的呈現其實都是每一位攝影師過去生活經驗的累積呢。」拍手笑瞇瞇地對我說著。
當許多人都討論著台灣的美學成熟度時，拍手認為：「這其實與我們大環境的教育觀念有關。」從小長輩教導我們要省吃簡用、把好的東西留下來只能在特別的時刻使用，這都限制了我們在美學上的學習與延伸。「在自己經濟能力內對自己好一點，吃好一點、用品質好一點的物件，生活的質感是由小細節所累積的，這樣信手拈來都有美麗的畫面。」
拍手自己每天在社群上搜尋拍攝靈感、做功課的時間很長。「我不只是看圖片，我也會分析照片的構圖、光線的穿透方法，以及搭配道具的手法。」儘管在課堂上拍手都會介紹自己喜歡的社群帳號給學生認識，認真解說拍攝手法與技巧，同時也提供講義，不過大多沒有人會真的好好研究。很多學生下課後，都還是以上課前的習慣來拍照，很可惜。
The development of life aesthetics and shooting skills
Stella and her husband love to watch movies. Since 2010, they have watched a lot of movies. They joined all Film Festivals, never missed one. During the festivals, they watched movies every day; rough estimates, they watched more than 100 movies per year. It is interesting that when they watch movies, they pay particular attention to the interior design and decoration in the movies. "Especially the European or Nordic art films, the pictures are so gorgeous. The details are fascinating." Stella says passionately. The aesthetic nutrient she accumulated from the film has a great influence on the selection of furniture and home decoration.
Both of them also like to travel. When they traveled to the Netherlands some years ago, they saw the local people's lifestyle, as well as the ideas of indoor lighting, which surprised them. In the past, the scenes that were only seen in movies have become a real lifestyle in some cities and countries. The experiences allowed Stella to slowly grow her taste and manage the living space into an ideal shape. "I believe that every photo is a cumulative accumulation of life experiences of every photographer." She tells me with a smile.
When many people discuss Taiwan's artistic education, Stella believes: "This is related to the educational concept of our surroundings." When we were young, the elders taught us to be moderate and keep good things only for the special moments to use. These concepts have limited our cultivation and extension of aesthetics. "Be better to yourself, eat better, use better quality objects. All small details accumulate the quality of life."
Stella spends a lot of time each day searching for inspiration on social media. "I don't just view the pictures. I analyze the composition of the photos, the way how the light penetrates, and the way how to match the props." Although in the courses, she introduces her favorite Instagram accounts to the students, and carefully explain the photography skills, while providing handouts. But in fact, seldom some will really study it. It is a pity.
轉逆境為契機，成立個人工作室
拍手的手機攝影課程受到歡迎，因此有許多學生再報名上課以獲得更多靈感。不過與合作伙伴規劃的內容往往因為場地受到限制，無法多做發揮而產生瓶頸。
「其實一直有成立工作室的念頭。剛好2018年年底時，舊公寓的房東提早結束租約，我們被迫搬家。於是在時機配合得剛剛好的情況下，一切水到渠成，我們找到了現在理想的空間，可以結合私生活與工作室的場所。」新家有足夠的自然光、空間大，於是「家中每個角落都是攝影棚」的想法終於得以落實。
在新的階段，拍手將會面臨更多、更忙碌、更瑣碎的工作。「雖然更忙，不過可以把控制權完全掌握在手中，其實只會提高課程的品質，沒有壞處，可以更接近自己設定的標準。」
接下來，拍公也會加入工作室的營運。未來不只提供手機美食攝影課程，還會有其他的工作內容。夫妻兩同心協力一起經營。
在採訪美味拍手之前，我只是單純地想瞭解另外一位攝影師的背景。在採訪中，我們不只聊了正面開心的經過，也提到困難與挫折。拍手一直以「把挫折當成養分」的態度來面對低潮與難題。更讓我欣賞的，是她以最簡單、沒有高深理論的方式來推廣攝影，把難的事情簡單化，以做好、做滿、做深入的態度來執行，讓人人都可以成為拍出好照片的攝影愛好者。
我們在瀏覽社群時，往往只能看到某些片段，並無法瞭解事件的全面，不管是好的壞的。當一個人呈現出渾然天成的品味時，我們是不是常常忽略了他們背後所付出的心血與精神，而只一眛地羨慕、模仿？

Turning the adversity as an opportunity
Stella's mobile photography workshop is popular; therefore, many students come back to learn and get new inspiration. However, the courses which are cooperated with the partner were often limited by the location, and cannot be performed well.
"I always had the idea of setting up a photography studio. At the end of 2018, the owner of our old apartment ended the contract earlier, and we were forced to move. Luckily, the timing was just right; we found the ideal space. The new apartment combines perfectly with the area of private life and studio." The new place has enough natural light, so the idea of "every corner in the house is a photography studio" has finally been implemented.
In the new step, Stella will face a busier life. "Although I will be busier, I can take control completely in my hands. It will only improve the quality of the workshop. There is no harm, and I can get closer to the standards I set."
Next, Stella's husband will join Stella to operate the studio. In the future, they will provide not only mobile photography workshops but also different services.
Before interviewing Stella, I simply wanted to know the background of another photographer. In the interview, we not only talked about the positive and happy process but also mentioned difficulties and setbacks. Stella has always faced the problems with an attitude of "taking frustration as a nutrient." What I admire is that Stella promotes photography in the simplest way without arduous theory. In this way, everyone can become a good photographer.
When we browse social media, we often only see certain pieces, and we cannot get the whole thing, whether it is good or bad. When a person presents a perfect life or taste, do we often neglect the hard work and enthusiasm they have paid, and only envy or imitate them?
