1. Please introduce your background.
I majored in Interior Design at Shih Chien University, after that, I founded my design studio. In 2004, I met my German husband, in the same year, I followed him and moved to Munich Germany. I do not have a background of Fashion but design.
2. Since when you work as a full-time fashion blogger
When I worked as an Interior Designer, I focused on Home Living projects. Since I moved to Munich Germany, I realized that how I worked in Taiwan, it does not work the same here in Germany. The Interior Design in Germany is mostly for Business Spaces; for the private living, German is used to Do It Yourself. Moreover, having a professional certificate in the specialized field is important in German Career Market. Concerning about that I am not interested in Business Interior, I gave up to keep studying in Germany. I became unemployed. It was a hard time for me; I did not know well either the German culture and the language, there was nothing that I could look for after opening my eyes in the every single morning.
There was a group that is founded by women who marry foreign guys and live in foreign countries on the Yahoo blog channel. I joined the group and created my first blog to record my daily life.
In 2009, it was a year that some international fashion blogger who were ready to shine, such as Bryan Boy、Rumi Neely、Susie Bubble. I felt that was kind of interesting, and I started following them.
At the end of 2011, I applied a domain and designed my very first blog page. I recorded my daily outfits; but, not paying attention to the image quality and the writing skill. However, during the time, I know many German brands, PR agencies and designers. In 2013, I realized the trend of online marketing raises up; hence, I relaunched my blog and started working as a full-time blogger.
3. Why you name your blog as Yes Please Enjoy?
Yes Please Enjoy is the new title for the newly launched lifestyle website that I transformed from my previous fashion blog. The issues I created for the blog were mostly focused in Fashion. I felt that the information of fashion industry is a way too far from my readers. I expect myself to create contents that are helpful and impressed to my readers, to let them feel positive, confident and exciting. Hence, I added some more issues, for example, my point of view about Love, Relationship, and Marriage, Beauty Care, Lifestyle in Germany; moreover, I combined stories about Travel and Munich Guide.
For me, our daily life is just like those delicious dishes on our dining table. Although everyone has different taste, the way of “enjoy it, appreciate it slowly” is always a concept of a good quality lifestyle. It is how the title is created.
4. What do you do working as a blogger? Have you ever faced any challenge that you never expected?
There are many opportunities for bloggers to have intercourses and to join events. I attended on all occasions to have more connection with people who work in this industry. However, recently, I use the time to study marketing and write proposals. An online full-time blogger is just like an independent Advertising studio, take projects, write stories, arrange shootings and then connect to the target.
At this moment, I work on my own; I have to finish all stuff along; including market research, planning, styling, shooting, filming and editing, writing and so on. It brings a sense of accomplishment; however, sometimes it makes me exhausted. I hope to hire an assistant when my studio develops better in the future.
I am okay with all challenges I have from my work. There is only one thing that is sometimes hard to me, to think and act like a German. Moreover, to prepare my proposals in English and in a professional way.
5. Share with us about your most exciting events you have joined.
Because of my job, I have many opportunities to meet well-known designer or celebrities, for example, Philippe Starck, Sandra Choi from Jimmy Choo, Madeline Poole, Badgley & Mischka, Wolfgang Joop, Diane Pernet, Kristina Bazan, Suzy Menkes and Sky Ferreira. From then, I see a real attitude that I admire. They are humble, and working hard on their specialized work. It is the biggest advance from my job; it is also the state that I expect myself to reach.
6. You often share many outfit articles and your experiences, how you catch a huge amount of fashion information? Do you need to go shopping a lot to try different styles?
Try different styles and experiences new products are just part of my job; I am lucky that I can work on an exciting business that I truly love. However, after working hours, my private clothes and accessories are quite simple in a similar style and easy to match to each other. I rarely encourage my readers to purchase stuff that is not necessary for their life. Therefore, when I write articles about styling, I pay attention to different personal styles and concepts of styling. Follow this way; even we do not buy the most trendy stuff, we can style ourselves in a smart and stylish way. On the other side, I always dare to try different styles for different projects; it is not only challenging to myself but also showing the dedicated attitude to my business partners. I compose unique stories for different brands, and present them in proper ways; this is what I mean to success presentations.
7. How about your personal style, do you have some tips for the neutral basic style?
At the beginning of blogging, I meant it to style myself loudly; I dressed in a punk style. After several years of involved in the Fashion industry, I have started to appreciate simple yet elegant styles. The key point is to diminish the things that you do not need. Less is more. I belive that silent is powerful, at the same time, it makes you feel comfortable. Although everyone has a different personality, when you style, just focus on one point in a look. The idea of makeup shall follow the same concept.
8. What do you think about the style in Munich or Germany?
Munich is located in the south of Germany; it belongs to the province of Bavaria. It is a classic yet conservative city. Although people in Munich has a higher income than other German cities, people do not look for the newest trends to follow. But it does not mean that people do not go shopping. They prefer better quality brands than high fashion trendy labels. For younger consumers, I do not see much difference than other cities or countries.
9. Face to the oncoming Fashion Week season, what designers are you looking for to see the collection in Berlin Fashion week? Share with us about your experiences of Fashion Week.
This season of Berlin Fashion Week started at the end of June 2016; it took one week long. I think many German designers always create amazing collections. However, Vogue Salon is the most exciting part of every Berlin fashion week season for me. Vogue Salon was founded in 2011; now it just celebrated its 11th season. Vogue Salon is hosted in Kronprinzenpalais since two seasons ago; the organizer arranges several interesting issues in different seasons. “New Order” was the newest subject of this season. The guests discussed how to transform the values of fashion, also, the changes, and possibilities of the fashion industry. Moreover, H&M cooperates with Fashion Council Germany to host the Design Award that starts this season. Before the end of July 2016, all designers were allowed to send their work to join the competition. At the end of August 2016, the judges will pick up five designers and the five designers will present their collection in the next Berlin Fashion Week in January 2017. So then, H&M will announce the winner.
Every Fashion capital has its culture and character; therefore, every fashion week has its charm wherever in which city. Two years ago, I attended to Stockholm Fashion week, luckily, I was able to view the H&M design award in its original city. The unique yet stand-out style from the north of Europe gave me such a strong impression.

10. It is a trend for bloggers to do live videos on Facebook or other social media channels; have you tried it?
I shoot videos for cooperation projects; follow the scripts, set up the styling, and then edit the films. The live videos on Facebook look attractive; I tried several times before; however, I was not satisfied with the quality. I prefer to prepare in advance and then follow the plan for shooting; so then I can present a perfect result in front of the viewers.
11. you shoot beautiful photos, do you spend much time editing images? Do you shoot with your smartphone or a professional camera? Please share with us a photo application for editing and some tips?
I skipped my photography classes in the university; however, I think I am quite sensitive about finding nice views. I am happy that I can use this advantage on my work. The photos on the website, I use professional cameras to capture images; it is important to offer high-quality pictures for cooperation projects. I edit images with Photoshop and Lightroom to get better eye-catch pictures.
In my daily life, I shoot photos with my iPhone 6S and edit photos with VSCO. VSCO is easy and convenient to use; moreover; they offer many free beautiful filters to download. Among those filters, you will find some favorite style to set up for your photos.
Before, I could not help but keep uploading the photos I shot with my smartphone to the social media accounts; now I prefer to select thoughtfully to choose better pictures and then share it online. It is a kind of training to myself.
12. Bloggers usually work alone; share with us your best equipment for working.
For working, I use a professional camera; however, it is too heavy to carry for private trips or to travel. Two years ago, I bought Sony Alpha 7, a small full-frame camera; it is the best partner on the go. It is light and offers good quality images. I use two objects, FE 3.5-5.6/28-70 and FE 2.8.35 ZEISS.
At the same time, I purchased Samsung NX mini with a lens in 1:3.5 / 9. This tiny digital camera helps for almost all occasions, landscape, indoor or selfie. Highly recommend.
13. Who are your favorite bloggers?
I admire Shini Park, her blog, Park & Cube; also, Alice Gao, her blog, Lingered Upon. Both of them are Asian; they show not only a great taste of photography but also a sense of aesthetic feeling. They are professional in their career; this is also the goal that I would like to chase.
14. To share with us some of your favorite Instagram accounts?
Besides Shini Park and Alice Gao, I have some favorite Instagram accounts to share. Family @twentyventi, she offers fresh and nature family and kids photos. Urban style @ chingkaichingkai, he has a unique point of view for shooting and image editing, worth to follow. Men Style @ ownwayofinspiration, he is the assistant of Shini Park, a German; he has a particular taste of style, very enjoyable. Cooking and Food @ tworedbowls, she offers beautiful images, do not view her photos when you are hungry.
15. How does your daily life look like?
As a full-time blogger, my private life is quite boring. If I compress all possibilities into a day, it might be like this as below.
No matter how late I go to bed, I get up 06:30 in the morning to prepare breakfast for my daughter. Afterward, I go jogging or go to the gym for an hour workout. Come back home, I eat breakfast and then reply all emails. In between, I do housekeeping, at the same to relax my body from sitting in the front of my desk. My meets are often in the noon; it is important for me to dress comfortable and casual to carry heavy styling clothes that I borrow from my cooperated partners. Afternoon time is the intensive hours for me to work, writing, shooting or editing. Parties or events are often in the evening; if I attend for working, then after coming back home, I usually work overtime to edit photos that I shoot from the event.
Different situations in my daily life, meeting, interview or join an event.
