Taipei - Chill Roof
我們平均一年回一趟台灣；女兒還在幼稚園時總可以隨意地在淡季飛回家鄉，不過現在上了小學沒有辦法任意隨性為了假期曠課，只得跟著德國寒暑假安排行程。旺季的機票交通費用還不是最令人傷腦筋的問題；回到台灣住哪、在哪落腳才是我們最頭痛的課題。地段、價位、舒適度、清潔度是我們評估入住的要素；這十多年來年年飛台灣，每回都需要落腳旅店，不過真正令人滿意、感到盡興還想再次入住的卻少之又少；一直到今年聖誕回台灣下榻的好得文旅，在各個要求上都令我們滿意，才讓我動了心念分享入住心得。
多年來的旅遊經歷，下榻的旅館可能比多數人的經驗要來得多一些，那麼我的推薦絕對是你們可以參考的入住標準；也歡迎與朋友分享這篇文章，下次台北小旅行就有去處了。
We fly back to Taiwan once a year. In the past, we could arrange our vacation as we wished until my daughter goes to school. Since then we have to follow her schedule, which means higher expenses for traveling. However, this is not our main concern. What we find troublesome is where to stay. Location, price, comfort and tidiness are the key elements that we consider.
In the past years, we have stayed in many different hotels. We found that each of them could have been better at some points. This Christmas, we flew back to Taiwan and stayed in Chill Roof in Taipei, we finally had the feeling of being home. I hope you will find this article useful in case you will have a trip to Taipei in the future.
回台灣的日期正好是聖誕也是週末，儘管兩個月前已事先訂房，不過適合的房型早已被預訂，所以停留期間得換房，也因為如此得以窺探好得文旅十個不同房型的其中三款設計，分別是十號房、四號房以及五號房。十號房原本就是四人房，所以居住空間寬敞，三口大型旅行箱也有足夠的擺放空間。四號房、五號房以雙人房為設定，不過也都是先保留了加床的空間，所以也合適。
房裡的基本配備有煮水器，另外也貼心地附上礦泉水、茶包；我們出門旅行習慣攜帶自己的濾杯以及喜歡的咖啡，有煮水器的旅店馬上加分。不過最令我們感到滿足的，是好得文旅挑選的寢具；床墊與枕頭的支撐力十足，棉被保暖紮實卻也透氣，時差加上工作疲憊的我，總可以在短時間內入睡擁有一定品質的睡眠。
It was Christmas and New Year holiday when we traveled to Taiwan. Although we tried to book our hotel two months in advance, we could not get the room that we requested. We had to change three times at Chill Roof during our stay. However, the advantage was that we could experience its three different styles out of ten various designed rooms, namely room 10, room 4, and room 5.
In each room, they offer a water boiler, bottled water, and tea bags. We used to bring our coffee filter and coffee with us while traveling, so the service of offering a water boiler is very thoughtful. Moreover, we were satisfied with their bedding since the mattresses and pillows had good support for the body. Then I could get good quality sleep despite my busy schedule and jet lag.
好得文旅是以民宿的概念經營，這也是十間房宿都各具特色的主要原因。上了十一樓出電梯推開大門，進入大廳；藉由脫去街鞋換上室內拖鞋的象徵動作，讓我們有了回家的感覺。溫潤的木頭地板阻隔了背後所有的辛苦與不如意，迎接我們的是小旅行中的新奇與期待。大廳裡流暢著溫柔的背景音樂，大開窗讓燦爛的陽光得以恣意灑落，光線落在整面牆上的報刊，還有沖泡咖啡的小檯桌，以及猶如客廳的座椅茶几。
hill Roof is founded based on the concept of home. It is also the reason why all ten rooms have their individual and unique designs. After opening the door and walking through the lobby, we took off our shoes and changed into indoor slippers. At that moment we were aware that we were back home. The warm and comfortable wooden floor in the lobby welcomed us. There seems to be a journey in front of us. Exploring this hotel is going to be fun.
The lobby, I would call it a living room, has soft music as a background. The soft sunlight shone through the big windows and spilled on the wall where the magazines and books were. There was a tiny yet lovely area near the window, where you can make a cup of filtered coffee. This area gave us an opportunity to take it and enjoy it.
那天正要出門，聽櫃台的對話才知道正在沖泡咖啡的男子是好得文旅老闆之一。窗外早晨的陽光灑落，好一幅充滿意境的畫面，我拿出隨時準備在包包裡的相機，請男子讓我拍幾張影像。 至今再重看畫面，即使只是平面影像，卻充滿無限深度。畫面中的閒情雅致、水溫與咖啡香味，都能透過影像感受到。隨意閒聊，才知道好得文旅背後三位經營者會不定時待在這裡，不管是在客廳工作、幫忙整理房宿或是與到宿旅客隨意聊聊；讓我臨時決定或許可以和他們來場即興對話。
One day when I was ready to go out, I overheard a conversation between the staff and I realized that the man who was preparing coffee was one of the owners. The fresh morning sunlight spilled the room through the windows, which I found very beautiful. I took out my camera and asked him if I could take some pictures to capture the moment.
Now, while I am writing this article, the flat images seem to become three-dimensional, I can experience the atmosphere and the aroma of the coffee. From a short chat with the owner, I found out that there are three owners running this hotel, each of them would come to the hotel at will, and they would be working in the living room, fixing and cleaning the rooms or chatting with their guests and offering insider tips about what to do in Taipei. Then, I decided to have a conversation with all three of them.
雖說是隨意約，但是臨時要將四個人湊在一起也不容易；離開台灣前一晚，在所有房客都差不多熄燈就寢時，我們一夥四人在客廳裡坐下；與平時訪談不同，這次我事前沒有做功課，沒有準備問題，彷彿是剛剛在旅宿裡認識了新朋友，大夥臨睡前聊聊，就差洋芋片與啤酒了呢。
好得文旅是由阿總、小毛與啟新共同經營，有著關於經營旅宿的模糊想法與架構已經十多年，真正讓三個人動起來的契機是在2014年的歐洲之旅。尤其是充滿藝術與不羈氣息的柏林帶來前所未有的靈感，毛孔頓開，回到台灣之後便著手構思實際面的規劃與營運。開幕至今不到一年，卻已時常滿檔毫無空房。
我很喜歡他們說的一句話：我們提供一個家的環境，讓住宿的人感到輕鬆自在與舒適。
A meeting without prior arrangement was not easy for four of us. Yet, the evening before I left Taiwan, we finally made it just at the time when people switched off the lights and went to bed. Different from usual, I did not prepare any question. Instead, we were just like new friends who meet each other at the hotel lobby. The conversation would be perfect if we had chips and beer.
These three men who founded Chill Roof had always dreamed of having a hotel in a similar idea like Chill Roof for more than ten years. The turning point for them to make a dream come true was 2014. During a trip to Europe, they were especially amazed by the free spirit and arty designed hotels they stayed in Berlin. After coming back to Taiwan, they started to make their dream come true. So far they have been running the business for less than a year, yet, it already becomes a well-known place when travelers look for a room to stay in Taipei.
I like the idea they tried to deliver: We offer a space like home to make people feel relaxed, easy and comfortable.
旅館的地理位置佔了很重要的因素；好得文旅位在捷運松江南京站步行約六、七分鐘的距離，對習慣在歐洲步行的我們來說，是十分剛好的散步長度。過去也曾居住過位在捷運站旁的旅館，不過其實花更多時間在轉乘上；如果放大捷運行駛路線圖，你會發現，松江南京正好位在捷運路線中心，許多地區可以在幾站之內到達，不同路線的地點也只只需要在忠孝新生或是南京復興轉乘。比起搭捷運繞過大半個市區，好得文旅的座落地點是我們最喜歡的因素。

Location is an essential element for us to decide whether we would stay. Chill Roof is close to Songjiang Nanjing MRT station, which takes around 6-7 minutes to get there by foot. Since we are used to walking between subway stations in Germany, a six-minute walk is just fine. Although we had experiences staying in hotels which were located next to MRT stations in the past, we spent a lot of time switching different lines to reach our destinations.
If you take a look at the map of MRT lines of Taipei, you will realize that Songjiang Nanjing MRT station is just right in the middle of the city, which means, it is easy to get to your desired locations without often changing lines. Therefore, the location of Chill Roof was the main reason we decided to stay.
Furthermore, the neighboring areas are exciting to discover as well. The staff shared with us that Ningxia Night Market, which gathers all delicious food stands, is worth visiting.
