Munich - Hotel Bachmair Weissach
還記得我在INSTAGRAM上發佈的這篇圖文嗎？其實我們在半年前早就訂好到Hotel Bachmair Weissach過週末，順便慶祝我的生日以及母親節。不過因為太久以前就已經就訂好，以致於大家都忘了，米夏爾才會在我生日那天發難吐苦水。
臨行前我和米夏爾都興致沖沖、唯獨女兒因為「要換地方睡覺」顯得意興闌珊：「這麼麻煩，還要打包、還要坐車喔。」她喔一聲的尾音拉的好長。我都還沒跟她說，週五抵達當天晚上，早就在MIZU SUSHI BAR 訂了一桌，吃得就是她最愛的日本料理。（噓！）
Hotel Bachmair Weissach位在慕尼黑近郊Tegernsee旁，依山傍水，是以SPA度假村的概念來設計。園區內的景觀設計自然優雅讓人感到放鬆，不可思議的是，竟然還有條小溪從中貫流。五月初時節，剛好山上的積雪開始融化，小溪水量湍流；嘩啦嘩啦的背景聲，很有療癒的作用。露天泳池、躺椅就在一旁，還沒換上泳裝進入水中，在視覺上已有無限享受。
"I am under pressure when your birthday comes every year." Michael, who does not usually say this "truth", finally admitted on my birthday this year. My daughter still added the fire: "So true, it's hard to get a gift for you, and you don't even eat the cake."
Remember the image I posted on INSTAGRAM? In fact, we booked Hotel Bachmair Weissach for a weekend trip some months ago to celebrated my birthday and Mother's Day. However, we booked a long time ago, everyone forgot. Therefore Michael had a hard time on my birthday this year.
Before we left for the weekend trip to Hotel Bachmair Weissach, I was so excited. However, my daughter seemed to be down-hearted because she had to pack. "It's so troublesome, and I have to pack; still, it takes time to arrive at the hotel." It is not true; it takes around 50 minutes by car. I haven't told her yet that on the evening of the arrival on Friday, I had booked a table at MIZU SUSHI BAR, her favorite Japanese food.
Located next to Tegernsee in the suburbs of Munich, Hotel Bachmair Weissach is designed with the concept of a spa resort. The garden design is simply elegant and relaxing. It is incredible that there is still a stream flowing through it. At the beginning of May, the snow on the mountain began to melt, and the stream was turbulent; the background sound of the slap was healing. The open-air swimming pool and loungers were on the side; you don't have to put on a swimsuit and enter the water, you are enjoying it.
When booking our schedule, we have reserved some additional services provided by the hotel in advance, such as dinner for two nights, beauty care, massage and facial, and horse riding lessons. We were quite busy at the weekend.
There is a small salon next to the spa center, which is my favorite and enjoyable space. It is connected to the outdoor pool, sauna area, beauty center, and indoor pool. In addition to breakfast and dinner time, we spent the entire weekend in the bathrobes; feeling so relaxed, no styling, no makeup, feel free.
MIZU SUSHI BAR
When my daughter heard that we would enjoy her favorite Japanese food on the evening of our arrival, she was thrilled. The bad mood of travel, not sleeping at home was swept away: "We eat Japanese food, is it true? Is there sashimi?" She likes to enjoy delicious food with us, especially the sashimi, even enjoys the wasabi.
前菜米夏爾點了Beef Tatar Crispy Cone，一整片松露就鋪在角錐狀甜筒上，很搶眼。生牛肉鮮嫩、外頭的甜筒酥脆，很得米夏爾的心，是一道擄獲熟男的優雅料理。
另外一道毛豆EDAMAME 讓人驚艷。台灣人對毛豆不陌生，就是水煮之後灑點調味，是茶館、餐廳很常見的開胃菜。MIZU SUSHI BAR 的毛豆不同，醬汁完全出乎意料，帶點不知名的辛辣香料滋味，三個人就在靜默中啃完一整碗毛豆（笑）。
在料理吧台前的廚師之一是位十六歲就來到德國生活的日本人，如今四十歲的他在異鄉的生活已經遠比家鄉來的更長久。之前一直在慕尼黑工作的他，搬到Bachmair Weissach 旅館工作已經兩年，說著流利英文與德文，害羞地與我對話著。
I don't know when it has started. When we go out for dining, we ask waiters to serve dishes one after another one from appetizers to main dishes. Which means after the first meal is finished, then serve the next one. We take it slow and easy, not in a hurry. It often takes two or three hours or even longer to finish the whole meal, but it is enjoyable to chat, make jokes with wine and drinks.
After ordering the appetizers, we haven't decided what to have for the main meal. So we ask the waiter to serve the appetizer first. MIZU Sushi Bar offers different flavors of sake, and we ordered Amabuki Rosé, a light pink sake served in the ancient cups, the cold sake tasted crisp and smooth, very impressive.
Michael ordered the Beef Tatar Crispy Cone as the appetizer. A whole piece of truffle was placed on top, which was very eye-catching. The raw beef was tender, and the cone outside was crispy. Michael enjoyed it a lot. It is indeed an elegant dish for mature men.
Another appetizer, EDAMAME was amazing. It is not new to Taiwanese; it is popular in tea houses or restaurants. We all know how it tastes. The edamame at MIZU SUSHI BAR was different; the sauce was completely unexpected, which had a taste of unknown spices. We were all in the silence to finish the bowl of edamame.
When eating sashimi in Germany, we have always sincere gratitude; Germany does not rely on the sea; it is not often to find fresh sashimi here. Fresh sashimi pieces served with wasabi and soy sauce; we finished the sashimi in silence again.
It's so enjoyable to eat and drink while reading the menu and ordering other dishes. Michael and I silently glanced at each other and wholeheartedly agreed with the way of dining slowly. What a beautiful night to enjoy the meal with my family.
One of our main dishes, the grilled ribs, was another delicious dish that kept us in silence. The ribs were tender, and the sauce was unique from the usual ones we know. The taste of the ingredients on the top was delightful. We had no idea what it was ( I think it is pearl barley) ; a highly recommended dish.
One of the chefs in front of the cooking bar was a Japanese who lives in Germany for more than 20 years. He has been working in Munich for a long time, and now moved to Tegernsee for almost 2 years working at the Bachmair Weissach Hotel. He speaks fluent English and German and talked to me shyly.
We started our dinner at seven o'clock, and we didn't go back to the room until 10 o'clock. It was a fun 3 hours. Enjoying life is always a matter for us; it is all about the opportunities and the scenes that make us together. Moreover, the sweet memory afterward.
The main reason why we chose to stay here is that a friend of Michael's sister had visited Hotel Bachmair Weissach, he recommended, especially the buffet breakfast.
Since we heard the keyword, the breakfast buffet last summer, we have always put Hotel Bachmair Weissach on our visiting list. There are no other reasons, Michael and I like to enjoy the morning time, as well as breakfast. If we have an opportunity to travel, we always enjoy the hotel's breakfast buffet; otherwise, we prepare at the Airbnb or go to a cafe.
Coffee, Croissants, yogurt, fruits, it is such delightful to appreciate the general breakfast situation: a waiter asks what hot drink you would like to have, and if you want to add something else from the menu. The sound of the coffee machine grinding the beans, the children's playful laugh, and the whispering chat on the next table. It all seems to shine like a golden glow.
The breakfast buffet at Hotel Bachmair Weissach was excellent. There were fresh fruits and vegetables produced by local small farmers in the suburbs of Munich. If it is packaged ingredients or food, they were BIO brands, Good quality offers. Moreover, it is a place that you can relax and enjoy without the care of the sauce dripping on the display table.
In the weekend, Munich had snow. All the visitors who came to the spa resort for the weekend were happy in the morning, dressed in comfortable and elegant clothes, and the waiters gracefully serviced between us. The background sound was so cozy that it made me feel good.
It was a weekend. After breakfast, everyone was not in a hurry; we stayed and continued to chat. It was snowing, and a child saw it and took his father to the window side to watch together. The child's eyes were shining, and following the snowflakes. The father touched the boy's blond hair and smiled as if he returned to his childhood.
到Bachmair Weissach SPA HOTEL過週末前，米夏爾看著官網研究訂房細節，女兒在一旁瞎攪和，看到了騎馬的頁面，雙眼發光。討論之後，我們訂了兩堂課（一堂課為半小時）讓女兒和米夏爾練騎。
Before our weekend trip at Hotel Bachmair Weissach, Michael checked the website of the hotel to study the reservation. Our daughter saw the page of the horse riding, her eyes shined. After the discussion, we booked two lessons to let her and Michael ride.
I was very excited after breakfast on the riding day, not to mention how my daughter felt. She was eager to it. Walking out of the hotel through the river, through the front part of the forest. Suddenly we smelled the horse manure; the horse farm is not far.
The young coach studies in Munich, and she comes to the hotel to teach when she is free. She first brought out the horses that accompanied us; its name is Happy. She asked us to brush the horse hair, clean the hooves, using the time to develop feelings with the horse, and let Happy got used to our smell and movements.
The coach took it easy and not in a hurry. She explained to us about the operation of the horse farm, the habits of Happy. Moreover, she tried to know more about my daughter's experience of riding. After entering the practice area, the coach helped my daughter to start and adjust the saddle.
Then let Happy walked in clockwise and counterclockwise directions; because the horse would feel dizzy when keeps running in the same direction. The coach adjusted my daughter's riding posture while telling her stories.
Then, the coach asked if my daughter was ready to let Happy step faster. Horse riding is not a new matter for my daughter. With the movements of the buttocks and thighs, My daughter leaded Happy ran so many rounds. I was so excited and proud. The coach asked again if my daughter would like to try still faster. She had tried to lead a horse and let run quickly before, but this time she spent only a short time with the horse, there was no tacit understanding in between. Therefore she refused the coach's proposal. Later, although she did not regret it, I could see that if she had more time and could develop a better understanding of the horse, she would try it.
The first lesson was to the end, and then it was Michael's turn. The coach asked if he had any riding experience. Michael thought about it: Wow, the last time riding was almost 50 years ago. How time flys.
In the same way, let the horse walked slowly to let Michael and Happy become familiar with each other. Then he let Happy ran in a small step and quicker. Seeing his happy expression like a child, I can't help but smile at the same time.
We had a good time, and there are many topics to discuss afterward. I think this is the most significant meaning of the whole family doing one thing together, sharing time. We plan to come back again; I will try it next time, it's so exciting.
GASTHOF ZUR WEISSACH
不拍？那可不行。職業病使然，寧可拍了不上傳、不分享，也不會什麼都不做把一整份餐點吃光光呀。更何況，Bachmair Weissach SPA HOTEL裡兩大餐廳的料理品質還有菜色都很讓我們滿意，真得很應該分享。
Those who have visited German restaurants in Germany, or who often eat German food must know how difficult it is to take photos of German cuisine. First of all, the Bavarian interior style is mostly in a dark wood color; you may ask: is it not just right? Fanning, you like to take dark background photos, don't you?
I do! However, the dark background photo style has to have light, and the brightness will set off the shadow beautifully. The restaurants are all dark, plus most of the German food is meat with dark sauces; it is challenging to take photos.
"Shall we enjoy the meal tonight without taking pictures?" Michael asked me with a smiling expression. In the past two years, I always take him as my model. He not only has to pay special attention to take care of his hands but also has to listen to my instructions when taking photos.
Not taking pictures? No. As a photographer, I rather take pictures even not to share than doing nothing. What's more, the quality of the two restaurants in the Hotel Bachmair Weissach is very satisfying and worth sharing.
The on-site Japanese restaurant MIZU Sushi Bar was the restaurant we ordered on the first night of arrival. For the second night, we decided to enjoy German food.
這天，在GASTHOF ZUR WEISSACH，我們點了前湯（當季魚湯，屬於濃湯式料理）、德式肉餅（Schnitzel）、羊排（Lammrücken），以及魚料理（Tegernseer Hecht）。料理的品質很高，尤其當季魚湯與羊排，讓我們讚不絕口。
在Bachmair Weissach SPA HOTEL的行程進入尾聲，我們坐在餐桌上，拎著飲品的杯子，每個人都顯得依依不捨。好想天天都度假呢。
When we came to the restaurant, a piece of artisan bread was already prepared on the table. The bread was placed on a wooden cutting board, and there was a bread knife next to it; this kind of do-it-yourself mode is the most appetizing. The bread was fresh and crispy; whether with butter or olive oil, it made us want to eat more. Simple but delicious.
By the way, do you know how to order dishes at a German restaurant? After taking a seat, the waiter will bring menus for everyone. If a restaurant offers a children's meal, the waiter will ask if it is needed for your kids. I like the respect of treating children as an individual.
Then what you should do is not to check what to eat, but what drinks or wine you want to have. After about five to ten minutes, the waiter will come back to order drinks for you. If you already know what to eat, you can order the meal at the same time; then the serving will be faster.
If you don't have an idea yet, order a drink and check the menu slowly. The waiter will prepare the drinks first. Sometimes when many people gather for dinner, they start chatting and chilling and forget to view the menu. Sometimes they seat for a half hour, and everyone is still talking.
If there is a situation in which everyone keeps chatting, the waiter will not rush. Therefore, it is common to order meals after sitting for almost a half hour or even longer.
Hence, Michael does not understand there is a time limit in most restaurants in Taiwan, which is about two hours. According to the German dining atmosphere, it just starts to be fun in two hours.
German restaurants usually offer a basket of bread (or German-style twisted bread, Brezel)) for guests. Sometimes the bread will be charged separately, sometimes for free. However, it is a good thing for restaurants, because eating bread will be thirsty, and guests will order more drinks.
On this day, at GASTHOF ZUR WEISSACH, we ordered a soup (the seasonal fish soup), the German-style meat pie (Schnitzel), the lamb chops (Lammrücken), and a fish dishes (Tegernseer Hecht). The quality of the meals was good, especially the season fish soup and lamb chops, which made us full of praise.
But the most fantastic dish was the special dessert of the day: a chocolate cake plus a ball of ice cream which was not on the menu was so amazing. We were so full from the appetizer and main dishes, so we decided to order only one dessert to share.
After the first bite, three of us glanced at each other and then entered a mode of exciting and enjoying. "Sir, we would like to order another plate of the same dessert." Michael shyly ordered the second dessert. Because when the waiter confirmed at the beginning that if three of us only ordered one dessert; we firmly answered that we were so full and could not eat anymore. How embarrassing.
We enjoyed our dishes one after another one while chatting. It took us almost 4 hours to go to the end.
The woman who ate alone at the side table chatted with us. She was alone for the weekend because of the pressure of her recent work. She is thin and tall and elegant. "I feel so relaxed while eating, so great!" she told us when she finished her four-course meal.
It was almost to the end of our weekend at Hotel Bachmair Weissach. We sat at the table and sipped our drinks, and it seemed that everyone would like to extend our weekend trip.
I recently read an article, which mentioned, the feeling of pleasure gained by external material is "enjoyment." If you feel enjoyable because of your own state of mind or sense, then it is "happy." The feeling of happiness can last longer, and enjoyment makes us feel empty after drawing away from the material.
Therefore, most of us are pursuing "happiness", but we often confuse enjoyment with happiness, so we rarely calm down and think about what we want and need. We are often eager to pursue happiness and forget how to appreciate it.
This article hit the point that is also my deep understanding in recent years. So when I have the opportunity to "enjoy", I tend to spend the enjoyment time with my family.
When a family has the opportunity to experience the same mood or happening, they have a similarly enjoyable experience. Moreover, to create shared memories. This virtuous circle makes me cherish the time I spend with my family and actively creates these sharing opportunities.
